This sensory wall panel for daycare pairs two semicircular end panels with three standard rectangular panels in one five-piece set, a shape combination you won't find from other manufacturers. Most sensory wall panels on the market are rectangular from edge to edge. This set breaks that pattern. The leftmost and rightmost panels curve into a half-round shape, softening the whole installation's silhouette, while the three center panels stay rectangular and carry the bulk of the hands-on activities.

The three rectangular center panels carry latches, knobs, sliders and textured surfaces that children manipulate by hand. The mix is built around fine motor practice, color recognition and simple cause-and-effect play. These three panels use a standard rectangular format. That means they can be swapped or added to using elements from our DIY sensory wall builder. The center of the set isn't fixed the way the two end panels are.
The semicircular end panels carry their own activities too, shaped to fit the curved surface rather than a flat rectangle. Together, the five panels give a child a mix of curved and straight surfaces to explore. That's not something a purely rectangular set can offer.
Materials and Construction
Every panel starts as birch plywood, sealed under a non-toxic, water-based lacquer topcoat. Locks, latches and gears are screwed or bolted into place, never glued. Nothing works loose after months of daily handling. This particular set uses our unpainted, natural wood finish. The grain stays visible around each element, curved or straight.

Panel Layout
Order matters here. The set installs left to right as designed: curved panel, three rectangular panels, curved panel. The finished wall reads as one continuous piece rather than five components lined up at random. If you later add DIY elements to the center panels, the two end panels stay fixed in place at either side.
Mounting This Set
Fasteners depend on wall type. Drywall, wood framing and masonry each call for different hardware. The manufacturer's guidance should take precedence over general advice whenever the two differ. Keeping It Clean

Are all five panels rounded, or just some of them?
Only the two end panels are semicircular. The three center panels are standard rectangular format, each carrying its own set of activities.
Can I change or add to the center panels later?
Yes. The three rectangular center panels use the same standard format as our DIY sensory wall builder. You can swap in different activity panels or expand the set over time, without replacing the semicircular end panels.
What age suits this set best?
Roughly 3 to 8 years old, though plenty of younger and older children enjoy it too. Where you mount it matters more than the printed age range, so let your room and your users guide the exact height.
How is this different from your other rounded busy boards?
This is the only set in our range built with semicircular end panels bookending rectangular center panels. Our other rounded-edge boards use a smaller footprint and a different panel count, without the half-round end shape.
Does this hold up in a classroom or clinic, not just at home?
